Saqqara is an ancient necropolis located in Lower Egypt and is best known for its stepped pyramids. It is home to the oldest known pyramid in the world, the Step Pyramid of Djoser. Dahshour is located nearby and is home to the two famous pyramids of Sneferu, the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid. Both sites offer a unique insight into the fascinating history of ancient Egypt and are a must-see for any traveler.

Itinerary

After breakfast, you will be met by our tour guide to pick you up from your accommodation.

Then you will head to your first sightseeing destination, which is Saqqara, the necropolis of Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt. It is home to many pyramids, including the Step Pyramid of Djoser, which is considered to be the first pyramid ever built. The Step Pyramid is made up of six mastabas, or stepped tombs, stacked on top of each other.

Then you will have the opportunity to learn more about Dahshour, which boasts many historical sites, including the Red Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid, two of the most famous pyramids in Egypt. Along with the pyramids, Dahshour is home to numerous archaeological sites, such as tombs, temples, and monuments.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant of high quality.

Later, you will be driven back to your accommodations.
